Forest Area names new teacher

The Forest Area School District welcomes Michael Wright to the district. Wright will be taking on the responsibilities of elementary physical education in both the East and West Forest buildings.  He has 11 years of experience in education.

Wright received a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education from West Liberty University in West Virginia in 2006.  His first teaching experience was in the Forest Area School District where he filled a long-term Health and PE substitute position during the 2006-2007 school year.  From 2007-12, Wright taught in the Warren County School District as a substitute for Health and PE and also served 4 years as a permanent special education teacher.  After moving to Erie in 2012, Wright served as a Child Care Director for the YMCAs of Greater Erie for 5 years. During the 2016-17 school year, he taught special education at East High in the Erie School District.

Wright lives with his wife, Kelly, and three children, Cayden, Kya and Delany.
