Volunteer firefighters stand at the aftermath of an Aug. 14 afternoon mobile home fire along Lake Lucy Road in Washington Township. The fire was said to have started from a box fan in the window of the back bedroom. Two women and three children were able to get out safely and there were no injuries. Firefighters were able to arrive on scene soon enough to keep the blaze contained to the back bedroom. Volunteer fire departments from Washington and Farmington townships and Shippenville-Elk attended the scene as well as Shippenville-Elk Emergency Medical Services. (Photo by
