Farmers market vouchers available in Clarion County

The Clarion Area Agency on Aging will offer its farmers’ market voucher program for eligible senior citizens.

The program is funded through the state Department of Agriculture. It provides $24 vouchers to seniors that can be used at local farmers’ markets.

Participants must be at least 60 years old by Dec. 31, live in Clarion County, and have an income of less than $25,142 for a one-person household or $33,874 for a two-person household to qualify for the program.

Here is a list of distribution dates:
  • Tuesday, June 21 — 8 a.m. to noon, Knox fire hall, 514 E. Railroad St., Knox
  • Wednesday, June 22 — 8 a.m. to noon, Leeper fire hall, 6785 Route 66, Leeper
  • Thursday, June 23 — 8 a.m. to noon, Rimersburg Senior Center, 7363 Route 68, Rimersburg
  • Monday, June 27 — 8 a.m. to noon, Redbank Valley Community Center, 430 Broad Street, New Bethlehem
  • Wednesday, July 6 — 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Clarion Area Agency on Aging, 16 Venture Lane, Clarion
  • Friday, July 8 — 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., Main Street Center, 516 Main St., Clarion
  • Monday, July 11 — 12:30 to 4:30 p.m., Rimersburg Senior Center, 7363 Route 68, Rimersburg
  • Tuesday, July 12 — 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Knox fire hall, 514 E. Railroad St., Knox
