Beaver Township bridge

CLARION – The Huckleberry Ridge Road bridge carrying Route 2007 over Interstate 80 closed to traffic last week and a detour is in place, according to PennDOT. The bridge is located in Beaver Township, Clarion County.

PennDOT said the description of the detour has changed. Motorists following the detour will use Route 2007 to Route 208 to Route 322 to Route 66 to Route 4001 and back to Route 2007.

PennDOT anticipates that the new bridge will be open to traffic by the beginning of November.

There will be lane restrictions on I-80 eastbound and westbound between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. These working hours will be used for beam removal and beam placement, PennDOT said. Other working hours will be during the daytime between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. without any restrictions on I-80.

This $2.7 million bridge replacement project is being constructed by Clearwater Construction and is expected to be completed in spring 2018.
