Deadline approaching for ALF art exhibit

The early application deadline for the 60th annual Autumn Leaf Festival art exhibition is Tuesday, Sept. 4.  The exhibition is put on by the Clarion County Arts Council.  The final opportunity for last-minute entries is from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, at the Main Street Center.

The exhibition, judged by Jason Floyd Lewis, will run from Sunday, Sept. 30 to Sunday, Oct. 7.  The reception and the judge’s talk will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Clarion Main Street Center.

All artists must be 16 years of age or older. Entries must be original and not previously exhibited in CCAC shows.

If a work is inspired by another artists work, the title must so indicate. 3-D works are limited to 100 pounds and 2-D works shall not exceed 4 feet in any dimension.  Art will be judged by category and medium.  The categories are photography, 3-D, painting, drawing and mixed media.  There will be awards and cash prizes.  For more information, people may email John Miller at jvasyl@hotmail.com or call at (814) 221-8818.
