A fatal crash occurred at 8:50 p.m. Wednesday in Fox Township, Elk County.
Ridgway state police say Austin Jay Miller, 22, of Johnsonburg, was traveling east on Route 2003 with Dallan Richard Pangallo, 21, of Kersey, when Miller lost control of his 2000 Dodge Neon while negotiating a curve in the roadway.
Police say Miller traveled into the westbound lane, into the path of a 2008 GMC Acadia driven by Andrew Jerome Gahr. The front section of the Neon struck the front section of the Acadia, ejecting both Miller and Pangallo from their vehicle.
Police say Pangallo was pronounced dead at the scene. Miller was pronounced dead at Penn Highlands Elk medical center. Fox Township VFD, Fox Township Ambulance, Elk County District Attorney and PennDOT assisted at the scene.
