Clarion troupe presents ‘Here Lies Jeremy Troy’

COOK FOREST – Clarion Community Theater will present “Here Lies Jeremy Troy” at 8 p.m. June 9, 10 and 11 and June 16, 17 and 18 at the Sawmill Theater in Cook Forest.

The 90-minute comedy was written by Jack Sharkey.

The story centers on lawyer, Jeremy Troy (played by Bobby Karimi of Clarion) who is up for a partnership is visited by a school chum, Charlie Bickel (played by David Matthews of Clarion) who lives by sponging off classmates.

Charlie blackmails Jeremy into putting him up on the very night the boss, Sven Iverson (played by Rodney Sherman of Lamartine), is coming for dinner whereupon the wife, Katherine Troy (played by Jody Frazier of Knox) leaves.

The sponger discovers that the lawyer’s degree is a fraud.

A model, Tina Winslow (played by Ashley Schuckers of Brookville) is hired to play the wife. Tina is a dumb beauty whose attempts to help backfire.

More trouble erupts when the wife returns.
