Clarion PUPS hosts annual Easter event

CLARION – Clarion PUPS will hold their annual Easter Extravaganza from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 12 at the Park Inn by Radisson, Clarion.

Activities for the day will include a rabies clinic from 2 to 4 p.m., and dog licenses will be available for purchase throughout the day.

New this year they will be doing “doggy paw prints” from 1 to 4 p.m.

In addition, there will be vendors offering items for visitors to purchase for their favorite four-legged family members, a bake sale and Chinese auction.

The event is dog friendly; visitors can bring their dog and have their pet’s picture taken with the Easter Bunny from 1 to 4 p.m.

Clarion PUPS is a nonprofit organization that helps stay dogs in Clarion. The mission of Clarion PUPS is to utilize approved foster homes to act as a rescue network kennel, reuniting lost dogs and their owners or to seek new loving homes for displaced dogs.

They provide temporary shelter, food and water, medical care, and love to needy dogs while creating a positive community image by providing guidance and education to citizens of the community.

They wish to incorporate a dog park into their program and make it a community asset.
