Clarion man facing several sex charges

From staff reports

A Clarion man is facing multiple felony sex charges after he allegedly had inappropriate contact with a juvenile girl last year.

A criminal complaint filed through district judge Duane Quinn’s office said the girl was interviewed by state police in Clarion in June.

The girl accused Brandon Ditty, 23, of engaging in sexual acts with her multiple times in May and June of 2016 when she was 15, the complaint said. The girl said the acts took place at Ditty’s home in Clarion Township, according to the complaint.

Ditty is facing eight felonies including six counts of statutory sexual assault, one count of unlawful contact with a minor and one count of corruption of minors.

Ditty was arraigned before Quinn Wednesday and placed in the Clarion County jail on $10,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing has been tentatively scheduled for May 2 at 9:15 a.m.

Online court documents indicate one other person is facing charges in connection with the case.
