A man threatened two people in the parking lot of Hillside Apartments and was accused of assault in Clarion on Thursday, Clarion state police said.
Around 4:40 p.m., John Scott Stephens, 24, of Clarion, threatened to burn down the residence of a 25-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man if they did not return his cats, police said.
He also threatened them with a knife and a BB gun and continued to text threatening messages to the female victim even after she asked him to stop, police said.
