Clarion Forest VNA looking for volunteers

From staff reports

The Clarion Forest Visiting Nurses Association hospice program is looking for volunteers to help with patient care.

Volunteers would provide companionship to hospice patients and support to family members and caregivers.

They also assist with basic household tasks, sew Memory Bears for patients’ families, provide clerical support in the hospice office, make phone calls to patients and their families, assist with hospice community events and assist with bereavement programs.

Anyone interested in serving as a volunteer should plan to attend orientation sessions that are scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 9-10, at the VNA office, 271 Perkins Road, Clarion.
