Clarion Forest Landowner Conference set Feb. 11

Penn State Extension, in partnership with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Bureau of Forestry and the Clarion County Forest Stewardship Committee, will host the Clarion Forest Landowner Conference from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Grunenwald Science & Technology Center at PennWest University Clarion.

The conference will feature five sessions, and the topics will include timber sale basics, current solar leasing basics, woodland flowers, creating wildlife habitat and enjoying wild edibles.

Speakers will be from Penn State Extension, DCNR Bureau of Forestry, Jennings Environmental Center, the Pennsylvania Game Commission and other agencies.

The cost is $15 per person. Pre-registration is required and the deadline to register is Feb. 5.

Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult, and the registration fee includes refreshments and door prizes.
