Clarion County libraries will not reopen to the public until they receive direction from the Office of Commonwealth Libraries, a division of the state Department of Education.
Libraries in Clarion, Foxburg, Knox, Redbank and Rimersburg are waiting for instruction about when staff members can reenter the buildings, how to establish new procedures and when to begin to offer in-person services.
While the library buildings remain closed, there are a number of digital resources available to the public. People should look at the libraries’ websites and Facebook pages for links and instructions on how to access resources.
Due dates for all materials that were checked out before the libaries closed have been extended until the buildings reopen. No overdue fees will be charged.
