Clarion County fatal crash victim identified

From staff reports

Clarion state police have identified a Bucks County man as the victim of a fatal crash Sunday morning that involved his vehicle and a tractor-trailer on Interstate 80 in Beaver Township.

Police said Zachary Seibert, 18, of Jamison, was traveling east in a Toyota RAV4 at about 5:55 a.m., near mile marker 56.2, when he proceeded onto the eastbound weigh station entrance lane.

Police said Seibert was traveling on the lane when he failed to see a tractor-trailer, driven by Nkosinami Sithole, 41, of Birmingham, Alabama, trying to merge from the weigh station lane back into the two travel lanes.

Police said Seibert’s vehicle rear-ended the tractor trailer, a 2019 Kenworth T680, and the car traveled under the rear of the truck.

Knox Volunteer Fire Department, Clarion Hospital Emergency Medical Services and Clarion County Deputy Coroner Lexis Twentier also responded, police said.
