Clarion County Coroner Dan Shingledecker confirmed to the newspaper the identity of the woman who died in a Paint Township house fire on Friday.
Shingledecker said Lois McClain, 83, died from smoke inhalation as the result of the blaze on McClain-Watson Road.
According to Venango County 911, the blaze was called in around noon.
Fire departments from Shippenville, Clarion, and Knox responded, along with Shippenville EMS, according to 911.
