Clarion County coroner called to fire scene

Clarion County Coroner Dan Shingledecker confirmed to the newspaper on Sunday afternoon that he was called to the scene of a house fire in Leeper, which had been reported earlier in the day.

According to Clarion County 911, the fire at a Route 66 home was reported at 9:30 a.m. and the scene was cleared at 1 p.m.

Neither 911 nor Marienville state police could provide further details.

Also assisting at the scene were fire departments from Farmington and Washington townships, Marienville and Sigel, along with Clarion Hospital Ambulance, according to 911.
