Clarion County bridge reopens

ELK TOWNSHIP – The bridge that carries Route 322 over Deer Creek in Elk Township, Clarion County, reopened to traffic Monday, according to PennDOT.

Construction began on the bridge in April. The work was performed by Walsh II, IA and Williams & Willman. The new bridge is designed to last as long as 100 years, according to PennDOT.

The project was part of the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project, a public-private partnership between PennDOT and Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners.
