Clarion Co. firefighters to receive academy training

From staff reports

The Clarion County Emergency Management Agency and the Clarion County Volunteer Firemen’s Association have created an agreement with the Pennsylvania Fire Academy to provide academy training to all fire departments in Clarion County.

The training will be available through a Preferred Training Partnership agreement between the Clarion County commissioners and Butler County Community College.

The Clarion County Volunteer Firemen’s Association is providing financial assistance to Clarion County EMA to help cover the cost of the agreement.

Clarion County EMA coordinator Randall Stahlman said the Preferred Training Partnership program was conducted in the county on a trial basis last year.
