Clarion Co. coroner: Man dies of accidental drowning

Clarion County Coroner Dan Shingledecker said a 21-year-old man from Veracruz, Mexico, died of accidental drowning at the Ramada by Wyndham at Clarion on Monday night.

According to Clarion state police, Clarion County Deputy Coroner Lexis Twentier responded to the scene and pronounced Javier Ixmatlahua dead at 10:14 p.m.

Police had been asked to conduct a death investigation after water rescue efforts had ceased at the hotel in Monroe Township at about 9 p.m.
