Clarion County commissioners on Tuesday approved a contract with the county’s Children and Youth Services employees.
The four-year contract went into effect Jan. 1 and will provide the workers with two and one-half percent pay increases each of the four years of the contract.
The county is currently negotiating contracts with sheriff’s deputies, jail guards and court-related employees, and probation department employees are in the second year of their current contract.
Commissioner Ted Tharan said Logue will help develop the county’s 10-year plan and also help prepare for the 2020 Census.
The commissioners approved several Community Development Block Grant agreements with East Brady Borough. Work that will be done includes the Purdum Street, Second Avenue and Grant Street sewer line replacements, the Lehner Drive sanitary and storm sewer improvements, and park improvements.
Commissioners also approved a number of personnel changes in county offices, and proclamations were issued recognizing the Knox Fire Company’s 85th anniversary and Keystone High School basketball coach Greg Heath’s 600th win.
Commissioners will meet for a work session at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
