Clarion Co. ‘‘March for Babies’ raises over $32,000

CLARION – The March for Babies effort in Clarion County has raised more the $32,000, according to spokesperson Megan Laird.

“We had more than 300 walkers attend the March for Babies event, representing 20 different family and corporate teams,” said Laird. “We has teams from Clintonville, Emlenton, Sligo, Rimersburg, Brookville, Clarion, New Bethlehem and many other surrounding areas.”

Laird said as of the day of the walk, the effort had raised approximately $32,000.

“We will continue to raise funds for the March of Dimes in the coming months,” said Laird. “Along with our family and corporate teams raising money, we also have many business sponsors that have donated money, raffle items or supplies for the day of the walk.

“Our local Kmart is a national sponsor, and is currently running a March of Dimes campaign in-store. which will run through the end of June.”

The March of Dimes is sponsored locally by Clarion Hospital, Women’s Healthcare of Clarion and Healthy Beginnings Pediatrics.
