Santa Claus came early to Tionesta on Saturday during Christmas in the Village.
The event was hosted by the Tionesta Market Village.
“I had some free time before the holiday rush began so I thought I would drop by,” Santa said. “I miss seeing all the kiddies in my off-season.”
Santa upgraded his traditional attire to a more modern look based on actor Kurt Russell’s suit in the movie “The Christmas Chronicles.”
Christmas music filled the air with modern and traditional songs provided by Joe Lilliard, a past winner of the Taste of Talent contest.
Many of the shops in the village were open offering baked goods, herbal remedies, special kitchen towels and assorted gifts.
Also on hand was a glass blowing artist, Steve’s Bees, a face painter and a blacksmith.
