CCEDC launches destination brand survey

From staff reports

As part of Clarion County’s new tourism marketing and strategies, the Clarion County Economic Development Corporation launched a destination brand survey and invites all Clarion County residents, visitors, business owners and neighbors to participate.

The CCECD, in a news release, said responses submitted will be used to develop Clarion County’s destination brand, which is how a town, city or county presents itself to attract visitors, businesses and new residents.

Destinations use images, words and feelings that people associate with the place, much like how a logo or catchy slogan can remind people of a particular product or company, the release said.

Good branding can bring investment to help create good jobs or attract funding for local projects, according to the release. It can promote civic pride and energize residents to celebrate their traditions, and bring support for existing services and attention to worthy causes, ventures or initiatives. It also can create a strong sense of unity.
