CCEDC keeps businesses informed

From staff reports

As local business owners scramble to manage the barrage of constantly changing information about COVID-19 and how it affects the operation of daily life and business, the Clarion County Economic Development Corp. is keeping its website updated with new information as it becomes available.

The COVID-19 resource page can be accessed at www.ClarionCountyEDC.com.

Shannon Barrios, executive director of the CCEDC, said she knows business owners need help finding available resources to help them navigate this “unprecedented uncertainty.”

Mandated business closures coupled with data that is being revised rapidly have left people wondering where to turn for trusted and correct information, Barrios said.

“Businesses are dealing with so many unexpected processes right now. They don’t have the time to spend hours researching assistance that is available to them,” Barrios said.

State also offers help

The Pennsylvania Small Business Development Centers said it has enhanced its website to give businesses a resource for information to answer questions on issues that affect them as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

The PASBDC said its web page, www.pasbdc.org, will continue to post updates as more information is shared and announcements are made.
