The Clarion Hospital Cancer Center on Thursday hosted Light Up Night to honor 55 cancer survivors. The event, held at the Eagles pavilion, was attended by more than 200 people.

“It was good to see everyone here enjoying themselves,” said John Stroup, president of the Clarion Hospital Foundation.

Highmark donated $75,000 to the center. The money will be used for a navigator and cancer screenings. The Knight Cruisers, a local car club, donated $14,200 to the Sunshine project. That money will be used to help patients meet expenses.

In addition to a meal, survivors and their families enjoyed games, a dance and fireworks.
