Brookville student charged with making gun threats

A 14-year-old Brookville Area High School student is facing charges following a police investigation into gun threats made Thursday.

Brookville Borough police said they were alerted to the threats made against the high school and determined through their investigation the 14-year-old boy had provided details of a potential school shooting to multiple sources.
When the boy was interviewed, he disclosed to police that he had homicidal thoughts and provided alarming details, police said.

The potential threats were negated by officers, and the boy was taken into custody, police said.
