Art studio open to public on Tuesdays

The newly opened Chicken Coop – Studio 306 located in the Crawford Center is open to the public from 7 to 10 p.m. Tuesdays.  Artists and crafters of any skill level are invited to take a project and supplies and utilize the relaxing space to create with other creative minds.  All forms of art are welcome — coloring, drawing, crochet, recycled art and everything in between.  A few basic art supplies are available in the studio as well as a different still life each week.  The Coop is a non-profit through Bridge Builders Community Foundations focusing on bringing creative opportunities to area residents and visitors, while also offering educational programs to adults and kids alike.  Formed by local artists from Emlenton, Foxburg and Parker, the mission of this group is community-driven.  The studio plans on scheduling workshops in the future and members of the Coop are also busy organizing a Christmas market coming in November featuring local artisans.  More information is available by emailing chickencoopstudio306@gmail. com, online at chickencoopstudio306.org or on the studio’s Facebook page.
