Area Halloween events and trick-or-treat hours set

The following Halloween parades, trick-or-treat times, and other Halloween activities have been announced by various boroughs, townships and organizations in Clarion County:

Clarion Borough Parade: 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31; 5:30 p.m. lineup at McDonalds and march to fire hall. Trick-or-treat: 6-8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 31. Those wishing to participate should turn on porch lights.

Farmington Township Trick-or-treat: 6-8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 31. Those wishing to participate turn on porch lights.

Knox Borough Trick-or-treat: 6-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31. Those wishing to participate should turn on porch lights.

Knox Township 6-8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 31.

New Bethlehem Borough Trick-or-treat: 6-8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 31.

Paint Township Trick-or-treat: 6-8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 31.

Rimersburg Borough Parade: 5:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 31; line-up at 5:15 p.m. at Heeter’s parking lot and march to firehall. There will be no costume contest. Trick-or-treat: 6-8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 31.

Salem Township Trick-or-treat: 5-7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 29. Halloween party: 7-8:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 29 at the Community Building in Salem Twp.

Shippenville Borough Trick-or-treat: 6-8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 31.

Sligo Borough Trick-or-treat: 6-8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 31. Those wishing to participate should turn on porch lights.

East Brady Borough Trick-or-treat: 5:30-7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 31. Those wishing to participate should turn on porch lights.

Strattanville Borough Trick-or-treat: 6-8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 31. Those wishing to participate should turn on porch lights. Trunk-or-treat: 6-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31 at the fire hall.

Washington Township Trick-or-treat: 6-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31.

Sligo Presbyterian Church Trunk-or-treat: 6-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31 at the church located at 403 Colerain Street in Sligo.

Clarview campus Trunk-or-treat: 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25 at the Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center located at 14663 State Route 68 in Sligo.

Halloween activities and parties

Clarion County YMCA will hold its third annual YMCA Trunk-or-Treat from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 29 in the main parking lot of the Clarion County YMCA. The YMCA is located at 499 Mayfield Road in Clarion.

All children 12 years old and under are welcome to come and trick-or-treat in costume in the YMCA’s main parking lot. Cars will be decorated and YMCA and community members will be passing out candy and other items from their car trunk. The event is hosted by the Clarion County YMCA and involves many community organizations, businesses and individuals.

Halloween parade

The Rimersburg Lions Club will hold their annual Halloween parade with lineup at 5:15 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31 in front of Heeter Lumber Company, Main Street in Rimersburg.

The parade which includes the Union High School marching band steps off at 5:30 p.m. and will travel down Main Street to the Rimersburg fire hall.

Again this year, the costume contest will not be held. This will guarantee the event can be completed outdoors and ensure the safety of all involved.

All participants in the parade will receive a treat bag full of goodies at the end of the parade provided by the Rimersburg Lions Club.

In the past, more than 200 individuals, young and old, have participated in the parade.

Halloween parade

The 2022 C93 radio station’s annual Halloween parade and trunk or treat event will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29 at the Clarion Mall.

Registration for the costume parade will be at noon and the parade steps off at 12:30 p.m. Children will be judged in four costume categories scariest, best group, cutest and funniest. Prizes will be awarded and treats will be distributed.

The trunk or treat event will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. for all participating children.
