Area farmers markets

Area farmers markets are offering fresh produce, plants and a variety of other products.  Here’s a list of where you can find the markets:

Oil City
The Oil City Farmers Market features a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, plants and flowers, handcrafted items, baked goods and more.  Open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursdays (vendor hours vary) on Central Avenue near the Oil City Library from June to October.  Products include farm-fresh vegetables and fruits, plants and flowers, homemade baked goods and handcrafted jewelry, accessories, apparel, decorative items, aromatherapy and more.

Franklin
Franklin Farmers Market is held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays on the 12th Street Island in downtown Franklin.  Market season runs from May through October. The market offers produce, baked goods and crafts.

Clarion
Clarion’s weekly farmers market is features local produce, baked goods, plants, eggs, cheese, meat and other products. It is located in the parking lot beside the Clarion County Courthouse on Main Street in Clarion. Hours of operation are from 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays, until Oct. 27.

Knox
This seasonal and local open air market is open from 4 to 7 p.m. every Friday. It offers fresh produce, handmade crafts, ready to eat foods, entertainment and informational sessions. The market is held at the Knox Community Park on Cemetery Street in Knox.

Titusville
The Titusville Open-Air Market offers homegrown, homemade and farm-fresh produce, hamloaf and ham salad, grass-fed beef, whole-hog sausage, baked goods, honey, syrup, jams, jellies, plants and flowers.  A number of artisans offer jewelry, yarn and knitted products.  The market is held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays, and 4 to 8 p.m. on the first and third Thursdays of every month from June to October.  It is held in Fleming Park at the corner of South Martin and Diamond streets in Titusville.

Tionesta
From June to October, the Tionesta Farmers Market is held at the Gazebo Lot on the corner of Bridge and Elm streets in downtown Tionesta. Local goods, from bakery delights to seasonal produce to crocheted items are offered from 3 to 6 p.m. every Friday.

Mercer
The Mercer Main Street Farmers Market is located in front of the historic Mercer County courthouse in the center of Mercer. The seasonal open air market is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m starting in July and running through October.
