ALF coloring book drawings needed

From staff reports

CLARION – The Clarion Area Chamber of Business and Industry is putting together a coloring book for this year’s Autumn Leaf Festival, sponsored by the United States Army. The coloring book and crayons are being sponsored by Farmers National Bank.

This year’s theme is “Autumn Through the Looking Glass” and the Chamber is looking for participants. The festival is scheduled for Sept.24 through Oct. 2, but they are getting started now.

Break out that sketch pad and get the ideas down on paper. Interested community members and students are encouraged to send in what they feel would make a great coloring book picture, autumn leaves, iconic buildings, events, activities and more.

All ideas are welcomed.

Prior to the coloring book being created the individuals’ whose pictures were selected will be notified.

Before beginning to sketch a design, participants will need to know:

Pictures can be portrait or landscape, pictures should be drawn on 8-and-one-half-by-11-inch paper

Pictures should not be shaded or colored

Participants can submit as many pictures as they would like.

When drawing pictures please be sure to use a thick black line around the images in the picture.

Pictures to be considered for the coloring book need to be submitted by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, to the Clarion Area Chamber of Business and Industry office at 650 Main Street, Clarion, or emailed to info@clarionpa.com.

Any questions regarding the coloring book can be directed to the contact information above or by calling (814) 226-9161. For more information, visit www.clarionpa.com or at www.Facebook.com/ClarionAreaChamber or on Twitter at @CACBI.
