Air patrol seeks help with ‘Wreaths Across America’

From staff reports

Clarion Civil Air Patrol would like to invite everyone to participate in the Wreaths Across America. This is an organization that sells wreaths to be placed on all the graves of Arlington National Cemetery every December.

This year the event will be held on Dec. 15.

Hundreds of volunteers gather that day to ceremoniously place the purchased wreaths on all of the veteran’s graves. The wreaths that are purchased can be in honor or in memory of a living or deceased veteran, spouse or first responder.

The deadline for ordering is Dec. 3.

The Clarion Civil Patrol receives $5 for each wreath sold. The proceeds from this event will benefit the cadet programs that teach cadets leadership, aerospace, physical fitness, emergency services and character development.
