ABATE holding Christmas toy drive

The Alliance of Bikers Aimed Toward Education – or ABATE – of Clarion County’s annual Christmas toy drive is underway.

The drive began in late September and will wrap up Saturday, Dec. 9.

The drive is being held in conjunction with Charitable Deeds and Services of Knox to assist those in need this holiday season. Charitable Deeds serves Clarion, Venango and Forest counties, as well as the surrounding areas.

Last year more than $15,000 worth of cash and merchandise was donated, 932 Clarion County children received gifts from the toy drive.

Members of ABATE of Clarion County will be at the Kmart entrance of the Clarion Mall from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, to collect new unwrapped toys, gift cards and monetary donations.

Donation boxes have also been placed in several area businesses.
