5 polling locations changed in Clarion County

From staff reports

Five polling place locations in Clarion County have been changed for Tuesday’s primary election.

Three of the changes are due to social distancing guidelines and insufficient space, said Cindi Callihan, director of Clarion County elections. A fourth move was prompted by the closure of the Clarion Library due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The polling site changes are expected to be temporary.

– In Clarion Borough 3, voters will cast ballots at Marwick-Boyd Auditorium. That had been the original polling site some time ago but was changed due to renovations. The work in the auditorium has been completed.

– Voters in Elk Township will vote in the Pine City Recreation Building. The previous site was the township building.

– In Paint Township, voters will cast ballots at Cornerstone Church of Clarion. They had voted at the township building.

– Piney Township residents will vote at Sligo Presbyterian Church. The earlier location had been the township building.

– Voters in Clarion Borough 3 will cast ballots at Grace Lutheran Church. They had voted at the Clarion Library which is temporarily closed.
