2 hurt, road closed after I-80 crash

One person was flown to UPMC Hamot in Erie and another was taken to Clarion Hospital after a two-vehicle crash at about 5:15 a.m. Thursday on Interstate 80 at the 45 eastbound mile marker in Richland Township.

A Clarion County 911 dispatcher said part of the roadway between Exit 45 and the on ramp from Route 3007 at Exit 53 was closed. The highway reopened later in the morning.
Another crash occurred at 6:25 a.m. Thursday on I-80 at the 43.3 westbound mile marker, the dispatcher said. It wasn’t known whether there were injuries in that crash.

Clarion state police, Knox and Emlenton EMS and Emlenton and St. Petersburg volunteer fire departments assisted at the scenes.
