2 die, 1 transported by helicopter following crash

From staff reports

Warren state police said two people were killed and one person was transported by helicopter as a result of a two-vehicle crash Sunday on Route 6 in Mead Township, Warren County.

Police said Stephen Charles Rothrauff, 39, of Tiona, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer on Route 6 near Mead Boulevard at 4:35 p.m.

Police said Rothrauff lost control of his vehicle and spun into the path of a Freightliner tractor-trailer driven by Bryan T. Crabtree, 47, of Oil City.

Police said the Trailblazer was struck on the driver’s side and continued to spin until coming to a rest on the guardrail.

Police said Rothrauff and his passenger Jessica Lee Camp, 32, of Tiona, were pronounced dead on the scene by Warren County Coroner Melissa Zydonik.

Police said a juvenile passenger was ejected, suffering suspected major injuries and transported by StatMedivac to UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh.

Police were assisted by Clarendon Fire Department, EmergyCare and Warren EMS.
