2 arrested in connection to theft ring

Clarion state police arrested two individuals Friday on Perkins Drive near the Clarion Walmart for taking part in a string of thefts throughout Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Maryland and Virginia.

Police said Teimurazi Partskhaladze, 49, and Besiki Kintsurashvili, 44, both from the country of Georgia, are part of a transient group of individuals from central Asia that committed thefts at multiple retail establishments.

According to police, the charges stemmed from an incident on April 13 at 9 a.m.

Partskhaladze and Kintsurashvili were arraigned and placed in the Clarion County jail on $50,000 bail with more charges expected for the other thefts committed in Clarion County.

Police said they are not U.S. citizens and are believed to be in the U.S. illegally.
