119 Clarion County veterans have died

A total of 119 Clarion County veterans have died over the past year, according to Judy Zerbe, director of Veterans Affairs in Clarion County.

Twenty-eight served during World War II; 25 served during the Korean War, 35 served during the Vietnam War, 31 served during peacetime, one served during Operation Desert Storm, and one served during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. One is unknown.

Some veterans served during more than one war period.
